CREATE Inc. 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Established in 2010
Mission: To provide holistic support and transformative opportunities to in-school youth aged 5 to 18 in middle Georgia who are facing adversity. Through a comprehensive blend of recreation, education, arts, technology, and entrepreneurial-focused programs, we aspire to ignite their potential and guide them toward a brighter future.
Target Audience: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) low-income students within Central Georgia.
Program Goals:
- Workforce Development: To equip our participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to pursue meaningful career paths and succeed in the workforce, breaking the cycle of poverty.
- Self-esteem: To foster a sense of self-worth, self-confidence, and self-belief in our participants, empowering them to overcome challenges and strive for excellence.
- Academic Success: To provide academic support, resources, and mentorship that enable our participants to excel in their studies, graduate from high school, and pursue higher education opportunities.
- Mental Support: To offer a safe and supportive environment where our participants can access mental health resources, counseling, and coping strategies to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Physical Health: To promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and nutrition education among our participants, ensuring their physical well-being and long-term health.
Program Outcomes:
- Empowered Workforce Ready Youth: Our participants will acquire practical skills, career awareness, and job readiness, making them well-prepared for future employment opportunities or further education
- Enhanced Self-esteem and Confidence: Participants will demonstrate improved self-esteem, increased self-confidence, and a stronger belief in their own capabilities.
- Academic Achievement: We expect to see an increase in academic performance, higher graduation rates, and a greater number of participants pursuing post-secondary education or vocational training.
- Improved Mental Health: Through access to mental health resources and support, participants will experience a positive impact on their emotional well-being, including better coping mechanisms and reduced stress.
- Enhanced Physical Well-being: Our participants will exhibit improved physical fitness, healthier dietary habits, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining good health throughout their lives.
Program Components:
- Academic Enrichment: Tutoring, homework help, and college/career readiness workshops.
- Recreation: Outdoor adventures, sports, and physical fitness activities.
- Arts and Technology: Creative expression through arts and exposure to modern technology.
- Mental Health Support: Access to counseling, support groups, and mental health education
- Entrepreneurship: Introduction to entrepreneurship and small business development.
