Oh, the Places We've Gone!!
In November 2023, our youth cyclists embarked on their inaugural international adventure. Over the course of 5 days and 4 nights at Cycle Jamaica, the students cycled through various picturesque locations, immersing themselves in the country's stunning scenery. Following each ride, they visited historical landmarks, delving into Jamaican history, including exploration of subterranean spaces known as the Grotto Caves, which served as concealed areas for slaves during that period.
In the summer of 2023, our cyclists embarked on the Bike Virginia journey, exploring various cities within the state of Virginia. Additionally, they took part in the enlightening Black Farm Tour, visiting multiple black-owned farms in North Carolina.
During the summer of 2022, our cyclists ventured to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they actively engaged in the Black Wall Street Cycling Tour.
In the summer of 2021, our cyclists embarked on a multi-city adventure, traveling to North Carolina, Washington, D.C., and Ithaca, New York. They pedaled through the streets of D.C. and participated in the Harriett Tubman Freedom Ride in Ithaca.
In the year 2020, our dedicated cyclists commemorated the Voter's Rights March by riding from Selma to Montgomery.
In 2019, our enthusiastic youth had the opportunity to attend the Youth Bike Summit in New York.
Furthermore, as an annual tradition, we send two talented music students to partake in the Berklee College of Music's Five-Week Summer Intensive Program in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lastly, our accomplished student dance group showcased their talents at a health and wellness conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
